Welcome to
CoreStone Archaeology
As a woman-owned firm, CoreStone Archaeology specializes in guiding clients through California’s cultural and environmental regulations. Our lean structure and efficient processes mean we deliver expert archaeological compliance without unnecessary overhead, saving time and money while honoring our shared heritage.
Why CoreStone?
Efficient, Adaptable, and Cost-Effective Project Delivery
CoreStone is built to stay lean, responsive, and practical. We support cultural compliance work across all phases by developing clear scopes and budgets, coordinating directly with clients, tribal partners, and trusted specialists, and staying in close communication from start to finish. Our structure keeps overhead low, so we can offer PI-level support at a lower cost; CoreStone’s standard billing rate is $175/hour. We’re highly mobile, ready to scale up through a strong network of collaborators, and focused on helping clients meet deadlines without cutting corners. Tribal and community consultation is a central part of our work, and we make sure those relationships are respected every step of the way.
Clear, Practical Regulatory Support
Navigating CEQA, Section 106, and local cultural resource requirements doesn’t need to be overwhelming. CoreStone supports clients through every step of the process by producing clear, regulator-ready reports and working closely with agency reviewers and tribal partners. We prepare Historic Property Survey Reports, Archaeological Survey Reports, Historic Resources Evaluation Reports, and related documentation, all tailored to fit each project’s scope and timeline. Everything is grounded in current standards, written to hold up to scrutiny, and designed to help projects move forward without delays.
Collaborative, Cross-Disciplinary Teaming
We team strategically with biologists, engineers, tribal monitors, GIS analysts, and other specialists based on project needs. CoreStone’s lean structure allows us to scale quickly while keeping things personal, efficient, and cost-effective. We’ve built a trusted network of independent consultants and small firms who share our values: stewardship, clear communication, and getting the work done right. Our role is often to bring everyone together early, coordinate cultural compliance aspects, and maintain momentum on even the most complex projects.
